Crayons can be the primary starting color medium for kids.They come in form of small sticks. As soon as kids learn to hold something, they can easily hold crayons because they are small in size and simple to work.. They are budget friendly.

Kids from age of 2 1/2 and onward can easily explore them. Later on kids can use crayons along with other mediums such as pencil colors, watercolors, to create a unique effect. A basic set of 12 crayons is good to start with.

For advance art work, Crayons are not good choice. We can not create good shading effect.
